SUMATRAN TIGER

 Age: 5 years on April 22

 Length: About 7 feet from nose to tail tip

 Weight: 258 pounds

 Born: Fort Wayne Children's Zoo

 In the wild: About 400 Sumatran tigers prowl rain forests on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. They are endangered because people hunt them and cut down the forests.

 Family: Mothers have 2-4 cubs. Babies stay with the mother about two years.

 Food: In the wild, wild pig, Asian deer and water buffalo. At the zoo, raw meat and big bones.

 Fun fact: Teddy likes to play with and rip up a big ball of paper towels.
