They are endangered because people cut down the trees and sell the babies as pets. Family: Mothers have a baby about every nine years and raise it to about age 9. Food: In the wild, leaves, fruits, nuts, bugs and bird eggs. At the zoo, vegetables, fruits, monkey food and oatmeal. Fun fact: Melati holds onto the top of her Indonesian Rain Forest exhibit and turns in a circle like a ballerina. |
