WHO LIVES AT THE ZOO?


Reef shark


Age: 5 years

Length: 4 1/2 feet

Weight: About 20 pounds

Born: In the wild off Indonesia

In the wild: Found along coral reefs and lagoons of the Indian and Pacific oceans.

Family: Mothers give birth to two to four pups at a time.

Food: In the wild, fish, squid and crabs. At the zoo, fish, shrimp and squid.

Fun fact: The sharks stay away when zookeepers clean the shark tank glass. They don't like the bubbles from the scuba gear.
