Born: San Diego Zoo in California

In the wild: Live in forests of Thailand, Borneo and Malaysia in Asia.

Family: The mother builds a nest in a hollow spot in a tree and hatches two eggs. Food: In the wild, fruits, frogs, lizards and snails. At the zoo, food pellets and fruit.

Fun fact: Hornbills toss food in the air so they can swallow it as it falls down.
