SEA LION

 Age: 7 years

 Length: About 5 feet

 Weight: 195 pounds

 Born: Sea World in Orlando, Fla.

 In the wild: They swim the Pacific Ocean along the U.S. West coast from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, south to Mexico. They are not endangered, but laws protect them from being hunted.

 Family: Mothers have one pup in June or July. Babies first drink milk from their mothers. They learn to hunt at about 3 months old.

 Food: In the wild, fish, squid and oysters. At the zoo, fish and squid.

 Fun fact: Sea lions play with toys as part of their zoo training.
