 In the wild: These big bugs crawl the rain forests of Malaysia. Their shape makes it hard for birds and animals to see and eat them.

 Family: Mothers drop eggs onto the damp jungle soil.

 Food: In the wild, guava and other leaves. At the zoo, pyrocantha shrub leaves.

 Fun fact: When caught, these bugs can jab an attacker with spikes on their body and back legs.
