  Family: Live in herds of up to 40 animals. Moms usually have one baby at a time, called a calf.

  Food: In the wild, leaves, twigs and acacia tree bark. At the zoo, hay and special food made from grains.

  Fun fact: Giraffes are the world's tallest mammal, standing up to 19 feet tall. You can see how tall they are when they reach up to eat from your hand at the zoo's Giraffe Feeding Station.
