Sandbagging damage
Much of the back portion of the Memorial Coliseum's parking lot was damaged by heavy trucks driving on it going to and from the sandbagging operation there. Coliseum board members estimated about $500,000 in damage was done to the parking lot and building during the sandbag-filling project.
