Dog rescuers
This dog, left behind at 1234 Boone St. when its owners were forced to evacuate, shows its gratitude to its rescuers, Suzanne Aldrich, left, and Donna Straub. Mainly by canoe, they and team member Larry Fields saved about 40 animals from evacuated homes. They work for the animal control department.
