Project Komets Kare PackageA little help can make a huge difference this holiday season for our armed forces serving overseas. For the fifth straight year, The News-Sentinel and the Fort Wayne Komets are teaming up for Project Komets Kare Package. We are asking fans to donate items at home games on Dec. 22, 27 and 29. Suggested items for donation include: Personal hygiene toothpaste, deodorant, white socks, underwear, T-shirts, bar soap, sunscreen, shampoo, lip balm, eye drops, lotions, toilet paper and baby wipes Entertainment batteries, board games, DVDs, books, magazines, puzzle books, flashlights for reading and storage bags Food items powdered drink mixes, hard candies, crackers, snacks and other vacuum-sealed products For more information on what can and can't be sent, go to www.anysoldier.com/WhatToSend.cfm.
