One of the city's most venerable couples is scheduled to mark 65 years of love and holy matrimony this month.
Waymon Brown Jr. and J. Synovia Weldon were married on June 23, 1950 in Benham, Ky. They will be celebrating their union of 65 years with a private celebration on June 28, 2015.
The Browns are parents of four children: Howeda P. Stepp, Waymon Brown III, A. Vincent Brown (deceased) and Lance E. (Talitha) Brown; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
