Earl and Barbara recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. The couple married on June 11, 1950.
Earl and Barbara met in Dayton Ohio and were married at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Fort Wayne.
The couple eventually settled in Fort Wayne, where they raised their two children, Barbara (Jeff) Chiszar, and Mark (Salamatou) Weinert.
Earl retired in 1988 from South Side High School's Math Department. Barbara retired that same year from a long and successful nursing career.
Earl and Barbara are active members of Faith Lutheran Church, in Fort Wayne. Along with church activities, they enjoy spending time with their five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
