Bern and Jackie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 12. They were married at St. Patrick Church in East Chicago, Ind.
They have five children; Jennifer (Jack) Murphy, Elise (deceased) (Bruce) Heslin, Christopher, Jonathan (Suzi ), and Joshua (Lauren), and 11 grandchildren.
Bern retired from International Harvester, Robinair and KT Industries. Jackie retired from teaching 2nd grade at St. John's the Baptist School in New Haven.
