50 Years ago, on Saturday June 5, 1965, Ron and Sandy were married at Emmaus Lutheran Church, in Fort Wayne, Ind. They met at Concordia High School and began dating their junior year. Sandy went on to Lutheran School of Nursing and graduated in 1964. She had a successful career as an RN. Ron went to Purdue University, graduated in 1967 and is now the owner of Summit City Insurance.
They have two children, both graduates of Purdue University. Laura is an NP in Oro Valley, Arizona, and Chad is CFO of Summit City Insurance. Ron and Sandy have four grandchildren that they enjoy immensely.
The couple plan to celebrate their 50th anniversary by going on a Purdue Alumni trip to the Grand Canyon in October, 2015.
