James and Drenda celebrated their 50th Anniversary on November 21, 2014 with their immediate family.
The couple both graduated from Kendallville High School. They were married on November 21, 1964 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kendallville, Ind.
For the first two years after their wedding, Jim was stationed in California in the U.S. Marine Corp. Drenda then joined Jim the following year in California. Following Jim's service duty, the couple returned home.
Jim was employed with Food Marketing Corp. and Drenda was employed by Fort Wayne Community Schools.
They have two children, Paula (Bobby) Kennedy of Fort Wayne, and Todd Kurtz also of Fort Wayne. They have four wonderful grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Caleb, Noah, and Faith.
