Thomas and Dorothy Kurtz celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on October 15. They were married in 1944 at her parents' home in Scipio Township.
They have two sons, Van, of Buffalo, New York, and Philip (Verna) of Fort Wayne. They also have two grandchildren, Christopher (Julie) Kurtz of New Haven and Kirstin (Thomas) Pinit of Portland, Oregon, five great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Kaitlyn, Jacob Kurtz and Casey and Griffin Pinit.
Tom is a retired farmer and Dorothy is a homemaker.
