Bob and Vi celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary with a family dinner, after they returned from a trip to California.

They were married April, 2 1949 in Wayne, Mich.

Following their marriage, Bob entered college, graduating in 1953, prepared for church ministry. They retired after over 50 years of full-time service, including pastoring churches in Michigan, and Indiana; Directing the Denominational Youth Ministries; and District Supt. of the Central District.

Vi worked as a secretary most of her life, including Detroit Edison, Ford Motor Co., Dearborn YMCA, and Dearborn Veteran's Hospital. She also served as secretary to her husband during their various ministries.

The Fanslers have four married children; Jim and Angie Fansler of Geneva, Ill.; and of Fort Wayne, Ind.: Debi and Dennie Doud, Jerry and Mary Fansler, Dave and Dawn Fansler. Grandchildren are: Drew Fansler, Brian and Darcy Fansler of Calif.; Libby and Jacob Koch of Indianapolis; and of Fort Wayne: Brennan and Cassie Doud, Aubree Doud, Joshua Fansler, Jason Fansler, Megan Fansler, Jonathan and Caroline Fansler, and Becca Fansler. Two great-grandchildren are expected later this year.

Bob and Vi give thanks to God for the blessings of family in this life; and for the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ!
